Road Rage
- If you have an aggressive driver behind you, remain calm, try and move away from the aggressive driver by overtaking the vehicle in front
- Keep moving until you can stop in an area where the are other people around e.g. Petrol Station
- If a car travels alongside you at the same pace, slow down and let it pass
- If a car pulls in front of you, forcing you to stop, Do Not get of of your car
- Keep your windows closed and the doors locked
- If the driver approaches you, assess their mood and either
- lower your window just enough so that you can hear what they are saying, or
- Reverse and get away
- if you can not get away, activate you hazard lights and sound your horn continuously
- If anyone tries to force down a partially open window or open an unlocked door hit their hand with any available object
- Take note of their licence plate number, make and model of the vehicle and anything identifiable about the driver
- If you have a mobile phone, use it to report the incident to the police as soon as possible
